People forget about Mercury. They shouldn't. Sitting right between Ford and Lincoln in the lineup, the 1953 Mercury Monterey was Ford's way of saying — here's something a little more. A little more chrome. A little more curve. A little more yes.
Two-tone sky blue over deep cobalt, shot from a three-quarter front angle so you get the full drama of that hood, that bumper, that absolutely unapologetic chrome grille. I set her inside a mod bullseye of gold and blue-grey, with ghosted sketch figures floating around her like she just pulled up and everybody stopped what they were doing.
Because she did. And they would.
Solid pine float frame, rubber-padded corners, wall mount included. Hangs in four minutes. Looks like an art director lived here.
Fair warning: that yellow-gold arc against the blue is going to tie your room together in ways you didn't see coming. Don't say I didn't warn you.
